My talks at FindingPetroleum and PPDM presented the impact of the new web in petroleum.

Annual statisitics now support that: the impact is clear, social media such as this blog and social networks augment traditional media such as trade associations and business partners.

Year-over-year data furthermore indicate seasonal drops over mid-year and year-end. Trade shows and blogs cause a marked increase in traffic. And the trendline matches that above.
